What the Reykjavik City Card costs

The Reykjavik City Card comes in three durations: 24, 48 or 72 hours. The longer the card is valid, the lower the daily rate. The prices below are the adult starting prices via the booking channel; you can select the discounted child price directly in the booking widget.

Duration Adult from
24 hours EUR 35
48 hours EUR 48
72 hours EUR 58

The live price for your dates appears in the booking widget, where you will also find the child price. Cancellation conditions depend on the booking channel - cancellation is possible up to the day before your planned first use.

Which duration suits you?

For a short city break with one or two full days, the 24- or 48-hour card is usually enough. Travellers who want to combine culture and thermal pools at a relaxed pace will find the 48-hour option the most balanced choice - enough time for several museums, a thermal bath and bus rides around the city.

The 72-hour card is worth it if you are staying longer and want to make the most of the full programme: museums, geothermal pools, city buses and the Videy ferry. Since the duration only starts with first use, you can flexibly time the start for your main sightseeing day.

When the card pays off

Just two or three museum visits, a thermal bath and a few bus rides quickly add up to more than the price of the shortest card option. Anyone combining several attractions and using public transport will recoup the cost without much effort. How much you save depends on your itinerary - check the individual entry prices for the attractions you actually plan to visit.

Questions about pricing

Which duration is worth it?+

The longer the card is valid, the lower the daily rate. A short city break usually works well with the 48-hour option, while a longer stay is better served by the 72-hour card.

Is there a child price?+

Yes. You can select the discounted child price in the booking widget. Children under 18 often already have free entry to the city museums anyway.
